Volunteer workers from the Integrated Operations Center organize a party for boys and girls from the Los Paltos camp

The initiative is part of the social activities program that the workers of the Integrated Operations Center (CIO), which operates in the Rancagua Patio, are involved in.

One hundred boys and girls from the Los Paltos camp, in the Dintrans Population sector of Rancagua, celebrated Children's Day with inflatable games, trampolines, candy and an entertaining afternoon in an activity organized by the workers of the Integrated Operations Center (CIO) of Codelco Division El Teniente.

“These initiatives are part of our social activities program, which aims to ensure that workers not only carry out their work, but also participate in these activities that enrich us greatly. Each worker sponsored a child and we made the effort to ensure that they received a gift, in addition to coming to share with them,” said Camila Soto, security analyst at CIO and organizer of the event.

CIO Director Rodrigo Durán stressed that one of the center's goals is to connect with the social value that El Teniente promotes as part of the triple value strategy: "The development of these initiatives allows us to connect with concrete facts with the communities and get involved with people, because that's what it's all about, being present and actively participating," he said.

Workers had already activated their volunteer work due to the climatic event that caused damage in various towns in the O'Higgins region more than a month ago.

On that occasion, and under the motto “All together, it's more”, they spontaneously organized to gather help and support dozens of neighbors of

Coltauco affected by the flooding of their homes after the Cachapoal River overflowed. On the ground they delivered boxes with non-perishable food, toiletries, more than 120 snacks and cleaning products.
