Codelco has filed an appeal aimed at obtaining legal certainty regarding the application of certain actions inherent to its business management that are subject to review by the Comptroller General of the Republic.

The Corporation maintains its full respect for the powers of the Comptroller's Office and the role that this institution plays in the State's control system.

This action does not alter the multiple control and accountability mechanisms to which Codelco is subject, including internal and external audits, the oversight of the Comptroller's Office within its sphere of competence, the permanent supervision of Cochilco and the regulation of the Financial Market Commission.

Codelco is confident that these matters can be clarified institutionally, contributing to providing legal certainty to the efficient operation of the company and to the full protection of the control mechanisms of its management.
