Santiago, October 6, 2026 - Through a material event, Codelco informed the Financial Market Commission (CMF) of the appointment of Pablo Vera Giglio as general manager of Ministro Hales Division (DMH), effective October 19.

Vera is a Civil Mining Engineer and holds an MBA from Universidad de Chile. He has extensive experience in the mining sector and a career spanning almost 14 years at Codelco.

At the state-owned company, he worked at El Teniente from 2012 to 2019, leading the Open Pit Mine Operations Unit and later as Head of Mine Drilling and Blasting Processes. From 2019 to 2023, he was at DMH, first as Mine Operations Superintendent and then as Occupational Health and Safety Manager, before moving to the Chuquicamata Division as Mine Manager until 2026. His most recent position, which he assumed in March of this year, was Acting Operations Manager at the El Teniente Division, and he was reappointed to the same position in June.

Thomas Gleisner, who served as interim general manager of DMH, will return to his previous role as mine manager in the same division. Codelco thanks him for his professionalism and commitment during this period.
