The El Teniente underground mine delivered more than 85,000 tons of ore in the last day

The state-owned company reported that 85.3 thousand tons of ore were shipped to the Colón plant and 8 thousand tons from the Sewell pit. SAG milling reached 101.6 thousand tons processed, and the smelter recorded 3,006 tons of concentrate smelted.

Rancagua, August 30, 2025.- This Saturday, August 30, Codelco delivered a new report on the situation at the El Teniente Division, where the Safe and Progressive Restart of Operations Plan continues to be implemented. The report highlights that information and support channels remain open for the families of deceased workers, with 24,710 participants in reflection and support sessions.

In terms of production, the company reported that 85.3 thousand tons of ore were shipped to the Colón plant and 8 thousand tons from the Rajo Sewell mine on the last day. The SAG mill processed 101.6 thousand tons, while the smelter produced 3,006 tons of concentrate and molded 441 metric tons of fine ore.

The company also indicated that operations at Recursos Norte and Andesita remain paralyzed, and that Sernageomin teams conducted inspections inside the mine. To date, 52 requests from regulatory and investigative authorities have been processed or responded to.
