Santiago, December 15, 2025 – As part of the Safe and Progressive Restart of Operations Plan, the El Teniente Division conducted a fatality risk assessment in the Rajo Sur sector. The assessment was led by General Manager Claudio Sougarret, along with Vice President of Human Resources Mary Carmen Llano, Vice President of Supply Mauricio Acuña, and divisional executives, directors, and supervisors. The activity focused on reinforcing safety standards, visible leadership, and the timely identification of critical risks in the field.
This milestone was part of a series of initiatives to strengthen the preventative culture promoted during the week, which included activities with workers in the industrial area and meetings with members of the Joint Committees of the division and collaborating companies, in which the importance of teamwork, collaboration and rigorous compliance with safety measures in the workplace was emphasized.
In this context, the general manager also led a safety discussion that brought together more than 150 supervisors from different departments, reinforcing the key role of leadership in accident prevention and in protecting the life and health of people.
In parallel, the division operated with a weekly average of 12,120 workers on shifts A and C, of whom 3,627 worked underground. During this period, milling processing averaged 108,200 tons per day, with 95,900 tons of ore being sent daily to the Colón plant and 10,700 tons to the Sewell plant.
Mining operations proceeded normally, with the exception of a 24-hour maintenance period at Diablo Regimiento Phase III. The Concentrator Plant operated with SAG lines 1 and 2, conventional and unit grinding for most of the period, while the smelter maintained stable operations with the Teniente 1 Converter and Gas Cleaning Plant No. 2, smelting 2,878 tons of concentrate per day and casting 547 metric tons of fine metal per day.
Regarding inspections, 88 requests from various oversight services and authorities remain outstanding, of which 68 have already been answered, while the rest are being processed within the established deadlines. Additionally, two more workshop sessions were held with specialist companies to analyze technologies that can reduce human exposure in deep mining operations.
