The Lieutenant resumes contracts with the collaborating companies of the Mine Works Management in the Pilar Norte and Diablo Regimiento sectors

Rancagua, August 16, 2025.- Codelco reports that it continues to provide information and comprehensive assistance to the families of deceased workers, including psychological and social support. To date, 16,478 employees and collaborators have participated in reflection, support, and training sessions. Of these, 15,160 have attended group activities such as "Together in Grief," discussions, lectures, and support workshops.

In addition, 1,006 individual psychological assistance sessions have been provided through the Psychosocial Support and Guidance Center (CECOP) call center , mutual insurance companies, and the support departments of partner companies. Likewise, 312 worker supervisors (role B) have been trained in psychological first aid.

Contracts with the Mine Works Management's partner companies in the Pilar Norte and Diablo Regimiento sectors were reinstated, along with CYGSA inspection personnel, involving approximately 62 workers.

In this context, shift C with 1,130 people, of which 291 enter the mine interior, and shift A with 2,114 people, of which 204 enter the mine interior for operations restart tasks.

The Esmeralda Panel, Esmeralda, Reno Panel, Pilar Norte, Diablo Regimiento, and Pacífico Superior sectors are currently operating. The Dacita and Reservas Norte sectors, which have already been authorized, will resume operations in the next shifts.

As of 8:00 a.m. today, 23.4 thousand tons of ore were shipped to the Colón plant and 9.9 thousand tons to the Sewell plant. SAG mill 2 is operating, with a processing rate of 2,500 tons per hour, adjusted to ore feed and stockpile level, while SAG mill 1 remains under scheduled maintenance.

The foundry is operating normally, with Teniente Converter 1 and Gas Cleaning Plant 2 operating. Cast copper production is expected to restart today.

At the same time, 30 requests from various supervisory and investigative authorities remain pending: 11 from Sernageomin, 6 from the Labor Directorate, 7 from the Regional Prosecutor's Office, 3 from the Chamber of Deputies, 2 from the PDI (Public Defense Ministry), and 1 from the Regional Ministry of Health. All of these requests have been responded to within the established timeframes. In addition, Sernageomin inspectors visited the interior of the mine.
