The Regional Mining Safety Council (Coresemin) of O'Higgins praised the general manager of El Teniente, Andrés Music; the head of security of the Mining Department, Ángel Droguett; and the Joint Committee of Mining Services, for their effort, dedication and contributions in the area of occupational health and safety.

Music, who was recognized as an outstanding executive, said that “Codelco seeks to be a company in which everyone is able to be their own self-care leader, a company where, with solidarity and courage, we are able to openly warn when a colleague, leader or person under leadership is making a mistake or carrying out unsafe behavior and thus mitigate the possibility of accidents occurring as much as possible by taking care of each other permanently.”

Awarded for his career, Ángel Droguett, who has 37 years in El Teniente, stated that "I am privileged to work in the Division. Until the last minute I will give everything to make us leaders in security," he said.

For the president of the Joint Committee of Mine Services, Victor Romero, "this recognition motivates our management in safety. We are the operational arm in the field and our job is to safeguard the health and well-being of the workers."

Millaray Farías, Superintendent of Mine Services, highlighted the joint work of the joint committees: "It is a joint effort that seeks the safety of all workers. This year our area was highlighted, but it is an effort of the entire Division."
