With the fourth working group meeting with eleven contracting companies in Rancagua, the safe return plan continues

Santiago, October 13, 2025.- As part of Codelco's commitment to safety and collaboration, the fourth Working Group with Contractor Companies (EE.CC.) for a Safe Return was held last week in Rancagua. Representatives from eleven Contracting companies (CCCs); the corporate manager of Management, Inspection, and Relations with Contracting Companies, Juan Luis Trejo, and divisional representatives, who addressed the main challenges and progress in terms of safety and the gradual restart of operations.

Among other relevant issues, an internal investigative committee was established for the rollover accident that occurred on Saturday involving a Link bus carrying 48 workers. Andina Division Services Manager Orlando Silva will chair the committee.

During the week, mill throughput averaged 90.9 thousand tons per day (Sewell + Colón); 86.7 thousand tons of ore were shipped per day on average to the Colón plant, and 7.1 thousand tons to the Sewell plant during the same period.

The SAG1 and SAG2 lines are operating at the plant. The conventional and unit mills are shut down due to low ore supply and maintenance.

The foundry is operating without incident with Teniente 2 Converter (CT2) and Gas Cleaning Plant No. 2 (PLG2). Teniente 1 Converter (CT1) and Gas Cleaning Plant No. 1 (PLG1) are undergoing monthly maintenance. Concentrate melting reached 2,587 tons per day. An average of 489 tmf was molded per day during the period.

There are still 71 requests received from various regulatory services and authorities, of which 51 have been answered and the rest are being processed within the established deadlines. Information and support continue to be provided to the families of deceased workers .
