Codelco ranked in the top ten in the "Citizen Brands" study

A ranking prepared by Cadem placed the Corporation in eighth place out of 325 companies based on their positive presence and contribution to society. Fifteen thousand people from across the country participated in the survey.

Santiago, May 28, 2025.- Cadem presented the results of the 16th version of the Citizen Brands study for the first half of the year, a measurement that highlights the sustained positive presence of companies in public opinion, as they are considered a contribution to society.

In this version, Codelco made a significant leap forward, climbing 19 positions in the overall ranking, from 27th place (in the second half of 2024) to 8th. It also positioned itself as the absolute leader in the "Industry" category.

“Being included in the Citizen Brands ranking is recognition and confirmation that Codelco is putting all its effort into advancing a sustainable, technological mining industry built on transparency, respect for people, and commitment to the environment,” emphasized Gabriel Méndez, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability. “Citizens appreciate it when they see Codelco as an active player committed to the country's sustainable development, and that drives us to continue on this path with even greater conviction,” he added.

Codelco was also recognized in several other segments. It ranked 12th in the "brands with conviction" category, which highlights alignment with social change, leadership, and clear and consistent communication. In "relevance," it ranked fourth, the same position it achieved in the "supports important social causes" category. It also stood out among brands that "care about and take action for the environment," where it ranked 19th.

The study classifies companies into five segments based on their track record: "quintessential citizen brands," "successful," "resilient," "dormant," and "challenged." Codelco was recognized as a resilient brand, recognizing its ability to face challenges and reconnect with Chileans, along with other companies such as SQM, CMPC, and Agrosuper.

Another relevant aspect of the study is the recognition of female leaders in the business world. In this edition, Josefina Montenegro, a current member of Codelco's board of directors, was recognized among the 20 most influential executives in driving their respective organizations forward.

For the Citizen Brands First Half 2025 study, 15,000 people from across the country belonging to socioeconomic levels C1, C2, C3, and D were surveyed between April 4 and 21 to measure 325 brands.

This recognition reinforces Codelco's role as a public company that connects with people's values, expectations, and demands, promoting a new way of mining, aligned with the challenges of the present and the future.
