Santiago, August 11, 2025.- The Executive Presidency of Codelco and Mr. Andrés Music Garrido, general manager of the El Teniente Division, have agreed to terminate the latter's duties at the Corporation, effective tomorrow, Tuesday, August 12.

This decision is not a response to the assignment of any responsibility, but rather stems solely from the need to focus the division's attention on the challenges posed by the implementation of the Safe and Gradual Return Plan. His departure, under mutual agreement, confirms the integrity and leadership that Andrés has demonstrated during his more than 15-year career at the company, where he has always ensured—in his own words—"the best interests of the company and the Codelco family."

The Executive Presidency has appointed Claudio Sougarret, currently the Operations Manager of the El Teniente Division, as interim general manager. The primary objective is to restore the recently authorized operations under the safety and gradual conditions required by the authorities and move toward a new normal in the division.
