Radomiro Tomic Division Inauguration.

On Friday, May 1, Codelco-Chile’s Radomiro Tomic Division was inaugurated with the attendance of the President of the Republic, Mr. Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle; Codelco’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Marcos Lima A.; its General Manager, Mr. Luis Farías L., as well as governmental authorities, Codelco’s senior officers, legal authorities, representatives of both workers and businessmen of the mining sector, and local and regional authorities.

The Radomiro Tomic deposit, located in the surroundings of Calama and fully developed by Codelco and Chilean technicians, adds 150 thousand tons to the output of Codelco’s four other mines. Thus, Chile’s major company increase the national assets and multiplies the contribution it makes year by year to the development of the country.
