Businesses, associations and societies with other parties
Associations with other companies represent for Codelco an
opportunity to expand its capacity to do business.
For several years now, Codelco promotes strategic associations
to take on projects that it could not finance on its own,
including the exploration and exploitation of unused mining
properties.
Starting in 2000, the Corporation decided to strengthen the
internationalization of its activities through a strategy
of associations, under conditions allowing to reduce risk
and to reinforce complementarity.
