The Andina Division operates the Río Blanco deposit, known since 1920. Nonetheless efforts initiating exploitation did not occur until half a century later.
It is located eighty kilometers north east of Santiago, 3,700 to 4,200 meters above sea level. Currently this division executes ore exploitation in the Río Blanco underground mine and the Sur Sur open pit mine.
Andina produces around 236,356 metric tons a year of fine copper, it also delivers 3,308 metric tons of Molybdenum per year.
