Braim Chiple assumes as Chief Commercial Officer at Codelco
Santiago, January 26, 2024. Through a filing submitted to the Financial Market Commission (CMF), Codelco reported the appointment of Braim Chiple C. as Chief Commercial Officer, a position he will hold starting as of March 15, 2024.
Braim has an extensive history linked to the marketing of copper and its byproducts. He studied Commercial Engineering at the University of Chile, completing minors in Business Administration and Economics.
He began his career as a Study Engineer at Enersis, and then moved to BHP in 2006, where he held various positions, including Marketing Manager Raw Materials. In 2012, he moved to Anglo American, a company in which he remained until 2023. His last position in this firm was based in Singapore as Head of Marketing and Sales, in charge of copper sales and purchases for the group. Currently he works as Advisor and Senior Consultant for copper trading in South America for the Japanese company Mitsubishi RtM.
Codelco appreciates the contribution made by Cristóbal Fuenzalida, Head of Copper Concentrates & Sulfuric Acid, in his role as acting Chief Commercial Officer since last December 1.
